Objectives
This ICMS course aims to make a wide range of scientific research (health, Amazonian biodiversity, interculturality, innovative technologies, heritage), technical and industrial knowledge (from agriculture to space and renewable energies) and even teaching methods (science education, project-based teaching) accessible to a wide range of people, so that they can better understand their environment and take a calm approach to social change.
As part of the MEEF Master's programme resulting from the reform of the INSPEs, this course also aims to develop six skill blocks through an introduction to research.

- Master the French language to communicate.
- Know how to use IT tools to support scientific outreach projects.
- Write a dissertation and a study report, illustrating it with a communication medium.

- Take into account the diversity of our audiences.
- Collecting and analysing survey data.
- Translate, interpret and present scientific results.
Subject-specific skills
- Mastering the knowledge and skills specific to popularisation, the media and information.
- Know how to design, manage and monitor a scientific outreach project.

Training required
Only the Master 2 programme is open. This course is aimed at three types of student:
- Students with a Master's degree (or a Master 1 in the LMD curriculum) in Science Communication and Mediation or in Science and Technology or in Health Professions.
- Teachers with at least three years' experience (school teacher, physics and chemistry teacher, life and earth sciences teacher, technology teacher, medical and social sciences teacher, etc.).
- Professionals with at least three years' experience of scientific mediation/communication in associations, companies or research institutes wishing to revitalise their careers.
