The University of Guyana has received \u20ac576,302.52 in funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the 2021-2027 programme for this project.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summary:<\/strong> Space imagery offers the possibility of regular, large-scale monitoring. The University of Guyana has received \u20ac400,000 in funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summary:<\/strong> The DEVOD-One Health project aims to develop diagnostic tools for detecting pathogens in humans, animals and the environment in order to gain a better understanding of the associated pathologies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Area 1: Diagnostic tools adapted to the area.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The introduction of appropriate tools will improve the diagnosis of parasitic, fungal and bacterial diseases in humans, animals and the environment.<\/p>\n<p>These tools will be adapted to healthcare facilities equipped with molecular biology (hospitals and laboratories) as well as to prevention and care centres that do not have this equipment. They will also make it possible to reduce the need to outsource analyses and obtain results more quickly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Area 2: Application to tropical diseases.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The protocols developed will be disseminated to the scientific community via publications and skills transfer.
