It played an active role in the student fair <strong>\u00abWelcome to France\u00bb<\/strong> organised in S\u00e3o Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. This commitment confirms its ambition to strengthen its international presence and its role in academic cooperation in South America.<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t<h3>An event at the heart of Franco-Brazilian cooperation<\/h3>\n<p>This mission, organised by the French Embassy in Brazil, Campus France Brazil and Campus France, brought together 66 representatives from 37 French higher education establishments. The aim was clear: to promote educational and scientific exchanges between France, Brazil and Africa.<\/p>\n<p>In Brazil, 94 schools in S\u00e3o Paulo and 37 in Rio de Janeiro took part. More than 250 institutional meetings were held. These exchanges led to the creation of new partnerships and joint projects between universities on three continents. The mission also helped to strengthen international academic dialogue.<\/p>\n<h3>A fast-growing student craze<\/h3>\n<p>The exhibition <strong>\u00abWelcome to France\u00bb<\/strong> saw a strong mobilisation of students.<\/p>\n<p>In S\u00e3o Paulo, there were 4,834 registrations, with an attendance rate of 37.34 %. In Rio de Janeiro, 3,997 students registered, with an attendance rate of 32.5 %.<\/p>\n<p>These figures clearly demonstrate the growing interest among Brazilian students in studying in France. As a result, they also illustrate the effectiveness of the work of Campus France and its partners in promoting French higher education. What's more, this participation reinforces France's image as a leading academic destination.<\/p>\n<h3>The active participation of the University of Guyana in Brazil<\/h3>\n<p>The University of Guyana was represented by <strong>Mr Rosuel Lima-Pereira<\/strong>, Vice President, International Relations, and <strong>Mr Antoine Primerose<\/strong>, Director of\u2019<strong>Amazonian Institute of Biodiversity and Sustainable Innovation (AIBSI)<\/strong>. Both have actively promoted university collaboration between French Guiana, Brazil and France.<\/p>\n<p>During their stops in S\u00e3o Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, they presented the scientific and environmental assets of French Guiana. Through this participation, the UG is establishing itself as an academic bridge between France, Brazil and Amazonia. It also highlights its expertise in biodiversity, sustainable development and innovation.<\/p>\n<h3>A strong commitment to internationalisation<\/h3>\n<p>The University of Guyana's presence in Brazil is part of a clear strategy to further open up the institution to the international arena. Thanks to this mission, it is strengthening its position in South America and developing new research partnerships.<\/p>\n<p>The organisers of the mission welcomed this contribution. In their view, the University of Guyana plays an essential role in Franco-Brazilian educational and scientific cooperation. As such, it contributes directly to the construction of sustainable and inclusive university networks.<\/p>\n<p>With its participation in the France-Brazil 2025 mission, the University of Guyana is confirming its international ambitions.
