Find out which seats are available, the composition of the two bodies, and the appointment procedures set out in the statutes.<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t<p>As part of the renewal of its governing bodies, the University of French Guiana (UG) is inviting applications for positions on its Board of Trustees (CA) or its Academic Council (CAC).<\/p>\n<p>This process involves two categories of external figures: figures from the socio-economic sector for the Board of Directors, and external figures for the Audit Committee.<\/p>\n<p>Both councils comprise elected representatives and external figures. Their composition complies with the provisions set out in the University of French Guiana\u2019s statutes.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ug_container-grey\" style=\"border-radius: 30px;\">\n<h3>Board of Directors (BoD): 6 leading figures from the socio-economic sector<\/h3>\n<p>In accordance with Article 12 of the University of French Guiana\u2019s Articles of Association, the Board of Governors comprises 28 members.<\/p>\n<p>It comprises 14 elected representatives and 14 members from outside the institution. The latter may be French or foreign nationals. Their representation ensures gender parity.<\/p>\n<p>The 14 external figures fall into three categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>5 representatives of local authorities or their associations<\/strong>, including at least one representative from the region. Their deliberative bodies are responsible for appointing them.<\/li>\n<li><strong>3 representatives from research organisations<\/strong> which maintain cooperative relations with the University of French Guiana. They are appointed by the directors of the relevant organisations.<\/li>\n<li><strong>4 external figures<\/strong>, including at least one representative from an educational institution.
