The University of Guyana is organising an international French-language writing competition in conjunction with its partners in Africa and Haiti. The aim of the competition is to raise awareness among students of the links between French Guiana, Haiti and Africa.<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

International French-language writing competition<\/h3>\n

L' <\/span>he University of Guyana is organising an international writing competition in collaboration with its partners in Africa and Haiti. The aim of the competition is to raise awareness among students of the links between French Guiana, Haiti and Africa.<\/p>\n

Every year in March, events are organised throughout the French-speaking world by the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF), highlighting the values shared by countries that have the French language in common: solidarity, democracy, cultural diversity, human rights, education rights, gender equality...<\/p>\n

As part of this initiative, the University of Guyana is organising an international writing competition, in collaboration with its partners in Africa (Universit\u00e9 C. Anta Diop University in Dakar, Gaston Berger University in Saint-Louis, Abomey Calavi University in Benin) and Haiti (State University of Haiti, Ecole Normale d'Ha\u00efti, Public Universities in the Regions), as well as the associations of teachers of French in these countries.<\/p>\n

This activity focuses on students enrolled at schools in the countries mentioned. It is, however, open to other establishments. These are :<\/p>\n
