La solicitud de patente protege los resultados de la investigaci\u00f3n llevada a cabo por Lily Walter, una joven doctora en Ciencias de la Ingenier\u00eda e Ingenier\u00eda Civil del laboratorio ECOFOG, que fue asistida en el proceso por Sonia Cayemittes, Jefa del Departamento de Innovaci\u00f3n Sostenible (SID) de la AIBSI.<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t<h4>Innovaci\u00f3n para afrontar los retos clim\u00e1ticos y demogr\u00e1ficos<\/h4>\n<p>En un contexto de calentamiento global y fuerte crecimiento demogr\u00e1fico, los retos de la construcci\u00f3n sostenible son cruciales. El aumento de las temperaturas en el planeta agrava la vulnerabilidad humana, sobre todo en t\u00e9rminos de pobreza y acceso a la vivienda. Adem\u00e1s, el sector de la construcci\u00f3n, que depende en gran medida del cemento -responsable de entre 8 y 9 % de las emisiones antropog\u00e9nicas mundiales de CO2-, debe reinventarse ofreciendo alternativas m\u00e1s respetuosas con el medio ambiente.<br \/>\nLos materiales de construcci\u00f3n de tierra, utilizados por entre 8 y 10 % de la poblaci\u00f3n mundial, ofrecen una alternativa atractiva gracias a su baja huella de carbono, disponibilidad local, reciclabilidad y cualidades higrot\u00e9rmicas. Sin embargo, su escasa resistencia al agua sigue siendo un obst\u00e1culo importante para su adopci\u00f3n generalizada.<\/p>\n<p>En este contexto, Lily Walter, que termin\u00f3 su tesis sobre la formulaci\u00f3n y caracterizaci\u00f3n de las propiedades de los hormigones de tierra que incorporan sustancias tropicales, ha desarrollado un nuevo eco-material a base de tierra cruda y micelio, muy resistente al agua. Esta innovaci\u00f3n, fruto de una profunda investigaci\u00f3n, podr\u00eda transformar las pr\u00e1cticas de construcci\u00f3n en la Guayana Francesa y m\u00e1s all\u00e1, al ofrecer una soluci\u00f3n adaptada a los retos clim\u00e1ticos y medioambientales actuales.<\/p>\n<h4>Primer \u00e9xito del Departamento de Innovaci\u00f3n Sostenible<\/h4>\n<p>Esta patente es uno de los primeros \u00e9xitos del Departamento de Innovaci\u00f3n Sostenible de la AIBSI, adscrito a la DIRVED. La responsable del departamento, Sonia Cayemittes, promueve la innovaci\u00f3n entre los socios bajo la responsabilidad de la Universidad de Guyana. Esto incluye la promoci\u00f3n de la oferta tecnol\u00f3gica y cient\u00edfica del centro para afirmar su visibilidad e influencia en torno a su firma: \"Biodiversidad e innovaci\u00f3n sostenible en la Amazonia\".<\/p>\n<p>Su misi\u00f3n principal es apoyar proyectos innovadores relacionados con la biodiversidad, en particular garantizando la propiedad intelectual cuando proceda y desarrollando asociaciones con agentes del mundo socioecon\u00f3mico. Al mismo tiempo, se ha puesto en marcha un procedimiento interno de presentaci\u00f3n de patentes, con un primer paso esencial: la declaraci\u00f3n de invenci\u00f3n.<br \/>\nEl objetivo de este proceso estructurado es fomentar y proteger la innovaci\u00f3n de la Universidad de Guyana, reforzando su papel motor en el desarrollo sostenible de la regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>M\u00e1s informaci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Si tiene alguna pregunta o desea m\u00e1s informaci\u00f3n sobre el proceso de solicitud de patentes, no dude en ponerse en contacto con el DIRVED.
