Nos cuenta c\u00f3mo esta experiencia le ha cambiado la vida...<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t<h3>\u00bfCu\u00e1les son sus planes profesionales?<\/h3>\n<p>Despu\u00e9s de la tesis, quiero seguir investigando.  Adem\u00e1s del trabajo de laboratorio, tambi\u00e9n me gustar\u00eda hacer trabajo de campo (ir a zonas epid\u00e9micas, tomar muestras de animales y\/o humanos, etc.). Tambi\u00e9n me planteo dar clases, si es posible.<\/p>\n<h3>\u00bfCu\u00e1l fue su formaci\u00f3n como estudiante?<\/h3>\n<p>Despu\u00e9s de hacer el BAC S, intent\u00e9 presentarme al examen de acceso a medicina, que no super\u00e9. Despu\u00e9s hice tres a\u00f1os de biolog\u00eda en Burdeos II (Universidad Victor Segalen). Luego hice un m\u00e1ster de dos a\u00f1os en biolog\u00eda en Guadalupe (Universit\u00e9 des Antilles et de la Guyane en aquella \u00e9poca). Una vez terminado el m\u00e1ster, me fui a la Guayana Francesa a hacer el doctorado en el Instituto Pasteur. Y para el posdoctorado... \u00a1qui\u00e9n sabe ad\u00f3nde me llevar\u00e1 la investigaci\u00f3n!<\/p>\n<h3>\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 particip\u00f3 en el concurso Mi tesis en 180 segundos?<\/h3>\n<p>Ante todo y sobre todo por curiosidad. Algunos de mis amigos ya hab\u00edan participado y yo hab\u00eda o\u00eddo hablar de ello. As\u00ed que pens\u00e9 que probablemente ser\u00eda mi \u00faltima oportunidad de participar en el concurso. Tambi\u00e9n quer\u00eda saber si era capaz de hablar con personas ajenas a mi c\u00edrculo cient\u00edfico y hacerles entender en qu\u00e9 estaba trabajando.<\/p>\n<h3>Participar en un concurso como \u00e9ste es un verdadero reto. \u00bfQu\u00e9 le ha aportado esta experiencia?<\/h3>\n<p>Participar en este concurso me dio la oportunidad de plantearme un reto personal: ver si pod\u00eda hacerlo. No particip\u00e9 para ganar, sino porque pens\u00e9 que ser\u00eda una buena experiencia que me ayudar\u00eda a ganar confianza para hablar en p\u00fablico, a saber transmitir informaci\u00f3n complicada para la mayor\u00eda de la gente y a hacer que mi tema fuera interesante. Sobre todo, me dio satisfacci\u00f3n personal.<\/p>\n<h3>\u00bfQu\u00e9 recuerda de la competici\u00f3n? \u00bfRepetir\u00eda la experiencia?<\/h3>\n<p>La palabra competici\u00f3n no es necesariamente apropiada, aunque haya premios y un ganador al final. Durante la preparaci\u00f3n de la MT180s, el gran d\u00eda e incluso despu\u00e9s, cuando me fui a Burdeos, no hubo m\u00e1s que buen humor y complicidad entre los participantes y ning\u00fan sentimiento de competitividad. Nos ayud\u00e1bamos a ensayar, nos d\u00e1bamos consejos... Durante el concurso, pude conocer a mucha gente e incluso he mantenido el contacto con muchos de los participantes.<\/p>\n<p>Sin duda volver\u00eda a hacerlo.<\/p>\n<h3>Como doctorando, \u00bfparticipa en alguna otra iniciativa?<\/h3>\n<p>Conduzco un programa de radio llamado \"Amazonie\" en colaboraci\u00f3n con R\u00e9n\u00e9 Serge DE NEEF en la emisora del campus de Mayouri. Es un programa de divulgaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica. Me propusieron presentarlo tras participar en el concurso MT180s.<\/p>\n<h3>\u00bfQu\u00e9 le ha aportado esta competici\u00f3n?<\/h3>\n<p>Como he dicho, ha sido una gran satisfacci\u00f3n personal, y gracias a este concurso he podido volver a Burdeos despu\u00e9s de 5 a\u00f1os, para volver a ver a mis amigos y a mi querida ciudad.<\/p>\n<p>Desde el punto de vista profesional, este concurso me ha ense\u00f1ado a hablar en p\u00fablico y a transmitir informaci\u00f3n. Tambi\u00e9n es una buena pr\u00e1ctica para prepararte para defender tu tesis o participar en seminarios. Cuantas m\u00e1s presentaciones haces, m\u00e1s confianza adquieres y mejor es tu elocuci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<h3>\u00bfAlg\u00fan consejo para los doctorandos reticentes a participar?<\/h3>\n<p>Se dice a menudo, pero es cierto: no hay nada que perder, sino todo lo contrario. Y como ya he dicho, no se trata en absoluto de una competici\u00f3n, sino de una buena experiencia y un reto personal. No lleva tanto tiempo como podr\u00eda pensarse (excepto quiz\u00e1s el famoso tobog\u00e1n...).
