Deze sessie zal het emblematische sociale programma Bolsa Fam\u00edlia en de impact ervan op de meest kwetsbare gezinnen in de staat Cear\u00e1 belichten.<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t<p><strong>Datum en plaats :<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Donderdag 10 oktober 2024, 18.00 tot 20.00 uur<\/em><br \/>\n<strong>Kamer 105<\/strong>Gebouw F, 1e verdieping<br \/>\nCampus Troubiran, Universiteit van Guyana<\/p>\n<p>Deze conferentie zal onze eerste sessie van het academisch jaar inluiden en belooft een verrijkende discussie te worden over de effectiviteit van overheidsbeleid om armoede in Brazili\u00eb te bestrijden.<\/p>\n<p>In 2004 lanceerde de Braziliaanse regering het\u00a0<strong>Bolsa Familia-programma<\/strong>\u00a0(PBF) met als doel een minimuminkomen te garanderen voor gezinnen in precaire situaties. Dit programma stelt financi\u00eble steun afhankelijk van schoolgaande kinderen, wat zowel als een ouderlijke plicht als een fundamenteel recht van kinderen en tieners wordt beschouwd.<\/p>\n<p>Het onderzoek dat tijdens deze sessie zal worden gepresenteerd, is gericht op het identificeren van de factoren die van invloed zijn op het vermogen van gezinnen om te voldoen aan de schoolbezoekvereisten die door het programma worden opgelegd. Het onderzoek, dat in 2016 werd uitgevoerd onder 400 moeders in de staat Cear\u00e1, de op drie na armste staat van Brazili\u00eb, toont aan dat de regelmaat op school niet alleen afhangt van objectieve factoren (zoals het aantal kinderen, de aanwezigheid van ziekten of steun van de partner), maar vooral van de inzet van de moeders voor het onderwijs van hun kinderen. Deze inzet, de sleutel tot succes op school, weerspiegelt het belang dat moeders hechten aan onderwijs als middel tot sociaal succes.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Biografie spreker<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Domingos S\u00e1vio Abreu is hoogleraar sociologie aan de Federale Universiteit van Cear\u00e1. Hij behaalde een doctoraat in sociologie aan dezelfde universiteit in 2000 en een masterdiploma aan de Universit\u00e9 Lumi\u00e8re Lyon 2 (Frankrijk). Hij is gespecialiseerd in de studie van overheidsbeleid voor dakloze kinderen en jongeren. Sinds 2015 richt zijn onderzoek zich op het verband tussen onderwijs en sociale ongelijkheid in Brazili\u00eb. Tegelijkertijd bestudeert hij ouderschap, met name vanuit het perspectief van adoptie en internationale adoptie.<\/p>\n<p>Onlangs co\u00f6rdineerde hij het boek\u00a0<em>O Bolsa Fam\u00edlia e a Educa\u00e7\u00e3o: Onderzoeken in het kader van de Iniciativa Educa\u00e7\u00e3o Pobreza e Desigualdade Social<\/em>\u00a0(EPDS\/UFC, Pontes 2019).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\t\t\t<\/div>
