De beweging van Braziliaanse schoolkinderen tussen de oevers van de Oyapock\". Deze zal worden gepresenteerd door Silvia Lopes da Silva Macedo, Senior Lecturer in Education Sciences aan INSPE, UPEC\/CIRCEFT-ESCOL, op vrijdag 2 december 2022 van 18.00 tot 20.00 uur in zaal F108.<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t<p><span class=\"nectar-dropcap\" >T <\/span>Elke dag steken bijna 200 kinderen per kano de grens tussen Brazili\u00eb en Frans Guyana over om naar school te gaan. Braziliaanse burgers die in de stad Oiapoque wonen, reizen dagelijks door dit 'verzorgingsgebied'. Ze spreken Portugees, maar ook Palikur en Kr\u00e9ol, naast andere talen, en ze gaan naar school in het Frans, in de scholen van Saint Georges.<\/p>\n<p>Om hen in staat te stellen naar school te gaan en dagelijks de grensrivier over te steken, is er in de steden Oiapoque en Saint Georges een bloeiende dienstenmarkt opgezet voor vervoer, kinderopvang, middagmaaltijden en ondersteuning op school.<\/p>\n<p>De verplaatsingen van deze schoolbevolking en van de Franse leerkrachten die aan de Braziliaanse kant van de grens wonen, stellen ons in staat om na te denken over de vormen van bezetting en de strategie\u00ebn van de bevolking in deze grensgebieden. Hoe verplaatsen gezinnen zich? Waarom kiezen ze ervoor om hun kinderen naar Franse scholen te sturen? En wat vinden leraren van deze verplaatsing?<\/p>\n<p>Terwijl de stad Saint-Georges de l'Oyapock ophield 'ingesloten' te zijn door de asfaltering van de N2 en de bouw van de bi-nationale brug, ligt de stad Oiapoque nog steeds perifeer ten opzichte van de Braziliaanse economische en machtscentra (een situatie die zeker zal veranderen met de vestiging van het oliebedrijf Petrobras in Oiapoque). Deze perifere status - zij het relatief - heeft bijgedragen aan de constructie van dit 'stroomgebied', een ruimte waar de grens verdwijnt onder de banden die zijn gecre\u00eberd door verwantschapsnetwerken en de historische verplaatsing van mensen tussen de twee oevers.<\/p>\n<p>Vreemd genoeg kwam de grens tussen de twee landen weer tevoorschijn met de bouw van de bi-nationale brug - een structuur die bedoeld was om de samenwerking tussen Brazili\u00eb en Guyana te verenigen en te katalyseren. De controle en bureaucratisering van het verkeer werd frequenter, waardoor deze grenslijn tussen steden, hun burgers en landen (opnieuw) verscheen. \"De brug cre\u00eberde de grens\", zei een ouder in een interview.<\/p>\n<p>Dit artikel onderzoekt deze grenszone vanuit het standpunt van het schoolverkeer.
