O pedido de patente protege os resultados da pesquisa realizada por Lily Walter, uma jovem doutora em Ci\u00eancias da Engenharia e Engenharia Civil do laborat\u00f3rio ECOFOG, que foi auxiliada no processo por Sonia Cayemittes, chefe do Departamento de Inova\u00e7\u00e3o Sustent\u00e1vel (SID) da AIBSI.<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t<h4>Inova\u00e7\u00e3o para enfrentar os desafios clim\u00e1ticos e demogr\u00e1ficos<\/h4>\n<p>Em um cen\u00e1rio de aquecimento global e forte crescimento populacional, os desafios da constru\u00e7\u00e3o sustent\u00e1vel s\u00e3o cruciais. O aumento das temperaturas globais est\u00e1 exacerbando a vulnerabilidade humana, principalmente em termos de pobreza e acesso \u00e0 moradia. Al\u00e9m disso, o setor de constru\u00e7\u00e3o, que depende muito do cimento - respons\u00e1vel por 8 a 9 % das emiss\u00f5es antropog\u00eanicas globais de CO2 - precisa se reinventar, oferecendo alternativas mais ecol\u00f3gicas.<br \/>\nOs materiais de constru\u00e7\u00e3o de terra, usados por 8 a 10 % da popula\u00e7\u00e3o mundial, oferecem uma alternativa atraente gra\u00e7as \u00e0 sua baixa pegada de carbono, disponibilidade local, capacidade de reciclagem e qualidades higrot\u00e9rmicas. Entretanto, sua baixa resist\u00eancia \u00e0 \u00e1gua continua sendo um grande obst\u00e1culo para sua ado\u00e7\u00e3o mais ampla.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9 nesse contexto que Lily Walter, que concluiu sua tese sobre a formula\u00e7\u00e3o e caracteriza\u00e7\u00e3o das propriedades de concretos de terra incorporando subst\u00e2ncias tropicais, desenvolveu um novo material ecol\u00f3gico baseado em terra crua e mic\u00e9lio, que \u00e9 altamente resistente \u00e0 \u00e1gua. Essa inova\u00e7\u00e3o, resultado de uma pesquisa aprofundada, pode transformar as pr\u00e1ticas de constru\u00e7\u00e3o na Guiana Francesa e em outros lugares, oferecendo uma solu\u00e7\u00e3o adaptada aos desafios clim\u00e1ticos e ambientais atuais.<\/p>\n<h4>O primeiro sucesso do Departamento de Inova\u00e7\u00e3o Sustent\u00e1vel<\/h4>\n<p>Essa patente \u00e9 um dos primeiros sucessos do Departamento de Inova\u00e7\u00e3o Sustent\u00e1vel da AIBSI, que est\u00e1 vinculado \u00e0 DIRVED. A chefe do departamento, Sonia Cayemittes, promove a inova\u00e7\u00e3o entre os parceiros sob a responsabilidade da Universidade da Guiana. Isso inclui a promo\u00e7\u00e3o da oferta tecnol\u00f3gica e cient\u00edfica do local, a fim de afirmar sua visibilidade e influ\u00eancia em torno de sua assinatura: \"Biodiversidade e Inova\u00e7\u00e3o Sustent\u00e1vel na Amaz\u00f4nia\".<\/p>\n<p>Sua principal miss\u00e3o \u00e9 apoiar projetos inovadores relacionados \u00e0 biodiversidade, especialmente por meio da garantia da propriedade intelectual, quando apropriado, e do desenvolvimento de parcerias com participantes do mundo socioecon\u00f4mico.
