Tradicionalmente, as palmeiras t\u00eam sido usadas para atender \u00e0s necessidades essenciais das popula\u00e7\u00f5es locais, como a constru\u00e7\u00e3o de casas e a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de combust\u00edveis, ceras e fibras. Elas tamb\u00e9m s\u00e3o usadas em v\u00e1rios campos, como agroalimentar, cosm\u00e9ticos e medicina tradicional, contribuindo significativamente para o desenvolvimento econ\u00f4mico gra\u00e7as \u00e0 sua composi\u00e7\u00e3o fitoqu\u00edmica diversificada.<\/p>\n<p>No entanto, apesar de sua import\u00e2ncia, a composi\u00e7\u00e3o fitoqu\u00edmica das palmeiras da Guiana Francesa, com a not\u00e1vel exce\u00e7\u00e3o da Euterpe oleraceae (a\u00e7a\u00ed ou wassaye), permanece amplamente desconhecida. A esp\u00e9cie Acrocomia aculeata, em particular, tem semelhan\u00e7as interessantes com o azeite de oliva em termos de composi\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00e1cidos graxos, o que sugere um alto potencial de uso no setor agroalimentar. As pesquisas tamb\u00e9m revelaram a presen\u00e7a de glucomananos at\u00edpicos nos frutos dessa palmeira, abrindo caminho para novas aplica\u00e7\u00f5es. Ao explorar esse recurso de forma sustent\u00e1vel, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel contribuir para a diversifica\u00e7\u00e3o econ\u00f4mica e, ao mesmo tempo, preservar a riqueza natural da Amaz\u00f4nia.<\/p>\n<h3>Acrocomia aculeata: uma esp\u00e9cie com m\u00faltiplas propriedades<\/h3>\n<p>O fruto da palmeira Acrocomia aculeata \u00e9 rico em \u00f3leos poliinsaturados, incluindo o \u00e1cido oleico (9), o \u00e1cido linoleico (6) e o \u00e1cido linol\u00eanico (3). Essa composi\u00e7\u00e3o levou ao uso do \u00f3leo extra\u00eddo dessa fruta como fonte de energia no campo dos biocombust\u00edveis, especialmente no Brasil, onde sua produ\u00e7\u00e3o est\u00e1 sujeita a controle. Essa demanda crescente estimulou a cria\u00e7\u00e3o, em 2004, de uma cadeia entre industriais para a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de biodiesel e agricultores para o cultivo dessas palmeiras.<\/p>\n<p>Entretanto, poucos estudos foram dedicados ao desenvolvimento da Acrocomia aculeata na Guiana Francesa. Parte do trabalho de tese de Wilfried Denagbe, supervisionado por Thierry Benvegnu (professor universit\u00e1rio de qu\u00edmica), Didier Bereau (HDR, professor universit\u00e1rio de qu\u00edmica), Jean Charles Robinson (professor universit\u00e1rio de bioqu\u00edmica) e Rudy Covis (professor s\u00eanior de qu\u00edmica), nos permitiu obter uma compreens\u00e3o mais profunda do assunto. Esse trabalho possibilitou o desenvolvimento e a otimiza\u00e7\u00e3o de m\u00e9todos de extra\u00e7\u00e3o dos carboidratos presentes na polpa da fruta (mesocarpo) e a elucida\u00e7\u00e3o da estrutura qu\u00edmica dos glucomananos at\u00edpicos (oligo\/polissacar\u00eddeos) usando espectrometria de resson\u00e2ncia magn\u00e9tica nuclear.<\/p>\n<p>Esses estudos contribu\u00edram para uma compreens\u00e3o cient\u00edfica mais profunda dos frutos dessa palmeira, que \u00e9 encontrada em toda a costa da Guiana. As propriedades f\u00edsico-qu\u00edmicas dos glucomananos at\u00edpicos presentes nos frutos foram destacadas, em particular sua capacidade de inchar, seu comportamento reol\u00f3gico e suas propriedades tensoativas. Al\u00e9m disso, foi explorada a possibilidade de funcionaliza\u00e7\u00e3o dos glucomananos por esterifica\u00e7\u00e3o, e a capacidade desses polissacar\u00eddeos anfif\u00edlicos de formar nanovetores por automontagem foi caracterizada usando t\u00e9cnicas de microscopia e dispers\u00e3o din\u00e2mica de luz. Dessa forma, demonstramos seu potencial para encapsular uma sonda fluorescente lipof\u00edlica e monitoramos a estabilidade desses nano-objetos ao longo do tempo para a libera\u00e7\u00e3o controlada de mol\u00e9culas biologicamente ativas.<\/p>\n<p>Finalmente, esse trabalho levou \u00e0 publica\u00e7\u00e3o de um artigo cient\u00edfico aceito em 17 de outubro de 2023 e publicado em 19 de outubro de 2023 na revista Carbohydrate polymers, IF 11,2) intitulado \"Structure and emulsifying properties of unprecedented glucomannan oligo- and polysaccharides from Amazonia Acrocomia aculeata palm fruit\", produzido em colabora\u00e7\u00e3o entre o laborat\u00f3rio COVAPAM e o laborat\u00f3rio de qu\u00edmica org\u00e2nica e interface (CORINT) da Ecole Nationale Sup\u00e9rieure de Chimie de Rennes (ENSCR), que desenvolve mat\u00e9rias-primas de origem natural para aplica\u00e7\u00f5es em sa\u00fade.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\t\t\t<\/div> \n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>
