On 20 June 2018, the Bureau d'Aide à l'Insertion professionnelle organised a CV and job interview workshop with Guyane Automobile's human resources manager as part of the partnership with GBH.
E n 2017, the University of French Guiana and GBH decided to strengthen their actions in favour of professional integration by signing a partnership agreement whose ambition is to bring together the world of business and that of education and higher education.
The aim of this partnership agreement is twofold. Firstly, to pool the skills and resources of the two partners, but also to facilitate exchanges of experience and skills between company executives and students.
Through this agreement, the University of Guyana and GBH undertake to carry out various actions with the aim of :
- Raising young people's awareness of higher education and the business world;
- Develop close relationships with students;
- Rewarding excellence through tailor-made professional support.
In addition to the Careers Forum, the partnership agreement includes visits to companies and support for students in their job search (through workshops and mentoring).
Meeting with a Human Resources Manager
Joel Bardury, Head of Human Resources at Guyane Automobile, gave the students some valuable advice for this workshop. For almost 1? hours, the students were put in an interview situation. After discussing, commenting on and correcting each other's CVs, they worked on how to behave and the common questions asked during an interview.

The Bureau d'aide à l'insertion professionnelle (BAIP) is a department of the Direction de l'Orientation, des Stages et de l'Insertion Professionnelle. It supports students throughout their career planning by offering themed workshops (CV, covering letter, personal development, interview preparation). It also manages the PEPITE centre (Pôle Etudiant Pour l'Innovation, le Transfert et l'Entreprenariat) for student entrepreneurs.
