What is the Digital Department (DNUM)?

It is the university department responsible for the operational implementation of the institution's digital strategy and for information system security. The DNUM is organised around four divisions:

  • USER SUPPORT Division
  • INFRASTRUCTURE and NETWORKS Division
  • TRADES and APPLICATIONS Division
  • Pedagogy and Research Division

The DNUM's mission is to provide these various users with an efficient infrastructure, as well as the technologies essential to the smooth running of the University (e.g. the IT network and telephony, WI-FI, computer rooms, software and applications, etc.).

Infrastructure and Networks Division (PIR)

  • Defining and designing network, server and telephone infrastructures
  • Provide monitoring tools and performance indicators for architectures
  • Guarantee the reliability, confidentiality and integrity of data
  • Defining the security policy

Business Activities and Applications Division (PMA)

  • Designing and delivering software solutions
  • Providing expertise and advice to platforms
  • Monitoring and supporting applications

Teaching and Research Centre (PPR)

  • Provide user support for educational tools
  • Managing and developing multimedia and audiovisual content
  • Training and supporting teacher designers
  • Manage digital teaching tools

Digital Working Environment (ENT)

The Environnement Numérique de Travail (ENT) is a personal space where students can access various online resources via the university website. It provides access to tuition services, timetables, e-mail, the teaching platform, library services, university restaurant menus and the university radio station "Radio Campus".

How do I access ENT?

Go to the Université de Guyane website and click on the "Students" tab. This will give you access to the various authenticated services.

How do I connect to ENT?

In order to connect to the ENT and access all of its personalised services, you must have the username and password for your digital account. This personal and confidential information must be kept for the duration of your studies at the University of Guyana. And benefit immediately from all the digital services offered by the university. What school services are available on ENT?

Tuition services bring together a range of tools and documents useful for the smooth running of the academic year. They are divided into two categories: information and management tools (E-candidat/Mon Dossier Web/Programme registration/Schedule) and communication tools (institutional electronic messaging). Students must log in using their university account details to access these different tools. E-candidate This tool enables students/future students of the University of Guyana to apply for one or more of the courses available in the training offer.


My Web Folder This application enables registered students to access and manage their student files and consult their transcripts.


Educational registration (IP web) This tool enables students to choose their options when registering for courses. Please note that this tool is only available at the beginning of the academic year.


Timetable This is dedicated to displaying the student's timetable.


Corporate e-mail This email address is linked to the student's account and is used by the university's administration to communicate directly with the student. The student account also gives access to Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote) for the duration of their enrolment.

What is the UG teaching platform?

The University of Guyana's teaching platform (Moodle) is an educational space where lecturers make teaching resources and activities available to their students; students can consult these resources, take part in these activities, be assessed, etc. The forums allow students to discuss and exchange views with other users (teachers and/or students).

What other services are available on ENT?

The other services available on the ENT allow users not only to find information but also to obtain practical information for their university life. First of all, there is the ELIBRIS documentary portal, which brings together the documentary resources of the University Library of French Guiana, as well as access to the menus of the cafeteria and the university restaurant (managed by the CROUS) and web access to the MAYOURI Campus radio station.

Can I connect to the Internet at the University of Guyana?

The University of French Guiana's academic community can access wireless internet from the Cayenne and Kourou campuses, free of charge and 24 hours a day.

Who can access the Wi-Fi wireless network?

The Wi-Fi wireless network is accessible to the entire university community (students, teachers, researchers, administrative and technical staff), as well as external visitors (conference participants, etc.).
