Setting up a student association is a rewarding and accessible process. The University of Guyana can help you every step of the way:

  1. Drafting the articles of association defining the operation and objectives of your association.
  2. Organising a constituent general meeting to approve the Articles of Association and elect the members of the Executive Committee.
  3. Register the association with the Prefecture of French Guiana to formalise its creation.
  4. Publish the association in the Journal OfficielThis is a key stage in its legal existence.
  5. Opening a bank account to manage your finances.
  6. Inform the Student Life Office (BVE) in order to benefit from material and financial support.
  7. Joining association networks to multiply your resources and opportunities.
