A new home for the Language Resource Centre

Par 27/02/2025- Campus, - LRC2 min. de lecture

Good news for students and staff at the Université de Guyane! The Language Resource Centre (LRC) has just moved into new premises on the ground floor of the Research building.

This extension allows the CRL to offer two reception areas: the first in room BSI004 and the second in this new location, thus facilitating access to services for all university students and staff.

An accessible and rewarding learning environment

The LRC is an environment dedicated to language learning, offering students, teachers and university staff the tools they need to improve their language skills. Whether you want to learn a new language or improve your level, the LRC offers a variety of teaching resources:

  • Interactive multimedia
  • Manuals and specialist books
  • Access to a video and games library
  • Self-learning room
  • Accompanied by language instructors
  • Themed language workshops and activities

Tailor-made support

One of the LRC's major assets is the diversity of learning methods on offer. Users can choose between self-directed learning using the many materials available, or personalised support through sessions with monitors. This support enables oral and written comprehension as well as expression to be worked on.

The LRC also organises language events that encourage practical experience in a friendly setting.

Flexible working hours to suit everyone

To help you organise your learning more effectively, the LRC offers flexible timetables:

  • Monday: 8am-12pm / 2pm-4pm
  • Tuesday: 8am-12pm / 2pm-4pm
  • Wednesday: 8am-12pm / 2pm-6pm
  • Thursday: 8am-1pm
  • Friday: 8am-12pm / 2pm-4pm

Whether you prefer to learn on your own or with the support of language instructors, the CRL offers solutions to suit every need.

This extension reinforces the university's commitment to accessible and effective learning, facilitating access to quality resources for all.
