The Student Social File (Dossier Social Etudiant - DSE) is a procedure that allows students to apply for financial aid (grants) and/or accommodation in halls of residence from the same file. The file must be created by logging on to étudiant.gouv.fr (formerly the student life portal), via the CROUS of the Académie where the student is studying in 2015-2016. You have between 15 January 2016 and 31 May 2016 to return your completed application.

How do I connect to the portal?

You have until 31 May 2016 to return your completed application.
For future and renewing students or, failing that, those domiciled in the Academies of Guadeloupe, Martinique and French Guiana, the server access code is : http://www.crous-antillesguyane.fr  - EHR application" section
If the CROUS website is temporarily inaccessible, data can be entered directly on the DSE filing site: https://www.messervices.etudiant.gouv.fr
To do this, students and future students must take the following with them when entering their details:
  • their parents' 2015 tax notice for 2014 income,
  • the B.E.A number for students in their final year of secondary school (number shown on the baccalauréat registration confirmation form), and for STS and CPGE students (number shown on the baccalauréat transcript).
  • the I.N.E number for students (the number shown on the student card). Renewers must also quote their I.N.E. number.
These headings must must be be filled in. Similarly, in order to ensure that the EHR is processed as quickly as possible, it is essential that all the wishes are entered in order to avoid, as far as possible, making changes to the initial entry.
We encourage students to connect as soon as possible, to avoid 'peaks' in data entry that could lead to server saturation or excessively long waiting times.

A fully paperless procedure

The application will be sent by email to all students (first-time entrants and renewals).
At this stage, the student must :
  • Check the information you have entered (to validate and/or modify it),
  • Date and sign the application.
This document, printed by the student, must be sent together with the necessary supporting documents within eight days of receipt of the application (mandatory) to the following address
S2i
DSE CROUS ANTILLES-GUYANE
BP 2100
97193 JARRY CEDEX
No applications should be returned to CROUS/CLOUS (by institutions or students).

CROUS responses

The CROUS, in the light of the complete application submitted by the deadline, will decide whether or not to grant the aid or aids, according to the scale in force.
Additional information may be requested. At the end of the examination, a notification concerning the request for aid will be sent:
A) For higher education grants based on social criteria :
  1. Or a notice of conditional award to be presented to the tuition department of the higher education establishment in order to be exempted from registration fees.
  2. Or a rejection notice that may be amended to take account of new information or information that could not be taken into account when the application was submitted.
B) For applications for accommodation in university halls of residence :
  1. Or an offer of accommodation, with details of the formalities to be completed.
  2. Or a reasoned rejection decision.
  3. Or a decision to wait.

Back to school

The grant will not be paid until the CROUS is in possession of the following supporting documents:
Certificat de scolarité 2016-2017 (school leaving certificate) for the applicant and his/her siblings enrolled in higher education.
