Manioc digital library
The Manioc digital library contains over 20,000 heritage documents (books, images, maps) on the Caribbean, the Guiana Plateau and Amazonia, as well as scientific audio-visual documents (conferences and study days).
The Manioc digital library has set itself the dual objective of promoting both heritage and science. Its content is transdisciplinary, covering all fields of knowledge, from botany and literature to history, geography and economics. This transdisciplinarity is reflected in a wide variety of thematic studies: arts and literature, crafts and colonial trade, culture and the sugar industry, the plantation economy, slavery (the slave trade and its abolition), gold mining, tropical medicine and the Franco-Brazilian dispute, etc.
The University of French Guiana is a member of the Pôle associé interrégional Antilles-Guyane (associated documentary centre with the BNF). As such, the university library participates in the development of Cassava.

Amazon fund
The Amazon fund: all about French Guiana... and its neighbours!
This documentary offering is complemented by a collection of transdisciplinary works devoted to the three Guianas (French Guiana, Suriname and Guyana). Here the humanities, social sciences and exact sciences come together to give you a wide range of tools for understanding this geographical area. Guiana has a special place of honour in this collection, where you can consult encyclopaedias and specialised dictionaries such as the Encyclopédie Désormeaux, the Mémorial du Bagne de la Guyane and several Creole-French dictionaries. The issues of slavery and indigenous peoples are also well documented.
In addition, the environmental aspects of the region are covered, with a special focus on flora and fauna. You will also find research work by lecturers at the University of Guyana, as well as dissertations and theses defended at the UG. This collection is identified by green labels.
