Objectives

  1. To teach the basics of emergency medicine needed to deal with all types of out-of-hospital emergencies. These include all medical, surgical, obstetric and paediatric emergencies.
  2. Its aim is to provide the theoretical and technical foundations required for the initial management of life-threatening emergencies (core level).

Target skills

  1. Acquiring the basics of diagnostic reasoning in emergency situations.
  2. Mastering the therapeutic arsenal needed to manage life-threatening emergencies outside hospital structures.
  3. Learn the basic technical procedures involved in practising emergency medicine
  4. Develop skills in ultrasound and the use of telemedicine tools

Admission

Access to the DU :

This course is aimed at doctors in all specialities except emergency and intensive care medicine, and state-qualified nurses.
