Dispositif de Préprofessionnalisation : L2 en alternance 2019-2020

At the start of the 2019 academic year, a three-year pre-professionalisation programme will be offered to students from the second year of the bachelor's degree (L2). This will enable students to enter the teaching profession gradually, with appropriate support and responsibility.

What is pre-professionalisation?

This scheme is open to students who wish to become teachers or who want to work in the world of education. This 3-year contract (L2, L3, M1) combines a university training cycle with a on-the-job training in a secondary school or educational establishment. The time spent in the classroom is progressive. To ensure that the performance of these duties remains compatible with individual success, working time in the school or establishment is limited to 8 hours per week (including 2 hours devoted to preparation for a DU).

The tasks entrusted to the students recruited

  • In L2: observationsThese include, for example, the use of the "Devoirs faits" (homework done) programme, occasional assistance with sequences, and participation in homework help.
  • In L3 : participation in personalised support, occasional assistance with teaching sequences under the teacher's responsibility, participation in homework help
  • In M1 MEEF: the student will be given full responsibility for teaching sequences, in particular replacing teachers in the school or establishment

Recruitment campaign in the Académie

For the start of the 2019 academic year, the French Guiana education authority is recruiting L2 students who are intending to go into the teaching profession :

  • 1er degree (school teacher)
  • 2nd degree (in humanities and mathematics)

Students will be recruited as education assistants (public law employment contract) to work 6 hours a week in a state secondary school or collège in the Académie. (+ 2 hours preparation for the DU teaching diploma)

The purpose of the employment contract is :

  • can be renewed for 3 years provided that the student is enrolled in L3 in the second year and in M1 MEEF in the 3rd year.th year ;
  • to be part of the pre-professionalisation programmes offered in the bachelor's degrees and, depending on the bachelor's degree programme, may lead to the award of ECTS credits.

Status

The education authorities recruit students for this scheme in partnership with the University of Guyana. These partnerships enable training times to be adjusted to allow students on pre-professionalisation contracts to carry out their duties in schools or establishments. The contract is co-signed by the student on the pre-professionalization contract and the school or college to which he or she is assigned.

Remuneration conditions 

  • In L2 : 693 net per month
  • In L3 : 963 net per month
  • In M1 MEEF : 980 net per month.

This remuneration can be combined with a higher education grant.

What are the conditions of access?

  • be enrolled in the 1st year of a bachelor's degree (subject to passing)
  • have French or European citizenship
  • have a clean criminal record
  • not have already benefited from a work-linked training scheme

Documents to be supplied

Fill in a electronic file on the platform E-Candidateand submit online ONLY digitised supporting documents :

  • a photo
  • a copy of an identity document
  • a detailed curriculum vitae
  • a covering letter setting out the applicant's career objectives and their motivation for the pre-professionalisation course
  • a copy of diplomas obtained since the baccalauréat

transcripts available for the L1 year or equivalent

  • a copy of the student card showing current enrolment in L1
  • a possible request for validation of personal and professional achievements

The provisional timetable

  1. Online application via the e-candidat mandatory until 20 October 2019
  2. Application possible for several courses (2 maximum)
  3. Mid-June - Joint UG-Rectorat committee meetings to examine applications and draw up the main and additional lists.
  4. Receiving an e-mail
  5. Registration due by mid-September at the latest
  6. Signing of contracts at the Rectorat (date to be provided)
