Pour une approche culturelle des sciences, des techniques et des techno-sciences

On Wednesday 1st December, Professor Daniel Raichvarg will give a lecture entitled: "A cultural approach to science, technology and techno-science: the bicentenary of the birth of Louis Pasteur (1822-2022)", from 4.30pm to 7.30pm in Amphi A.

L ciences, techniques and techno-sciences are now considered to be "total social facts", combining the personal trajectory of the researcher, the scientific trajectory and the institutional, political, economic and cultural trajectories. The case of Louis Pasteur, who is about to celebrate the bicentenary of his birth, lends itself perfectly to this analysis and its consequences for education and cultural mediation.

Daniel RAICHVARG is an Emeritus University Professor specialising in Information and Communication Sciences. His research focuses on scientific and technical culture. He is also active in the field of theatre, and has written and co-written several plays.

A researcher at CIMEOS (the University of Burgundy's Information and Communication Sciences laboratory), he is also Honorary President of the Société Française des Sciences de l'Information et de la Communication (French Society of Information and Communication Sciences) and Chargé de Mission for the Académie des Sciences, EPCC Terre de Louis Pasteur.
