Participation de l’Université de Guyane au Salon Cosmetic 360

On 13 and 14 October 2021, a delegation from the University of Guyana took part in cosmetic 360, the international innovation trade fair for the cosmetics and perfumery industry. This event is a real showcase for research work, enabling all those involved in the cosmetics industry to discuss, interact and prospect...

L he delegation, comprising two joint research units (UMR Qualisud and Ecofog), was also accompanied by the regional agency Guyane Développement et Innovation (GDI) and three Guyanese companies specialising in cosmetics (Bio Stratège Guyane- Elayane-Yana-Wassaï).

Held at the Caroussel du Louvres, this major event brings together every year all the major players in the perfumery and cosmetics sector: VSEs, SMEs, major groups, the public and private sectors, etc. It is the flagship event that brings together all the players from 60 countries in one place to exchange ideas, draw inspiration and innovate.

The participation of the University of Guyana (UG) was a real opportunity to raise its profile, promote its research and develop its network of partners. The exhibition also gave the UG an opportunity to showcase its expertise and potential in the field of developing Amazonian natural resources in conjunction with innovative companies. Highlighting the biological properties that confirm traditional knowledge are complementary actions that can reassure consumers and innovative project leaders to better adapt to the development of our socio-economic fabric. The show was also an opportunity to meet representatives from the French Overseas Territories Ministry.
