Première édition du village étudiant à l’UG

The Student Life Office organised the first Student Village on 6 October 2022. The event was held in the university restaurant on the Troubiran campus.

L he Student Life Office supports and assists students in their studies and in their personal and social development throughout their university career. It is responsible for stimulating campus life, in particular by supporting student initiatives. The student village, like other events held throughout the year, is part of this support and information initiative.

A forum to discover the key players in the university community

Open to all students, particularly first-year students, this event reflects the UG's ambition to offer high-quality support to every student. The event offered students a non-exhaustive overview of the various players in the university community. More than 1,300 students attended this first event. The aim of the day was to bring together in one place the key players with whom students will come into contact during their university career. Students were invited to find out more at the various themed stands set up for this purpose, and to take advantage of the good deals offered by all the partners (CACL, CGSS, CTG, CROUS, Guyanasso) and services of the University of French Guyana (DOSIP, BRI, BVE, Culture, SUAPS, CRL, BU and DNUM). On the agenda: health, precariousness, cultural and sporting offers, transport, community life, etc. In this sense, the University's common services, student associations, but also the UG's partners were able to highlight the services aimed at this target audience and answer their various questions. The day was punctuated by cultural, photo, sports and well-being workshops, as well as augmented reality vision tests.

Many thanks!

We would like to thank everyone who took part in this first edition of the Student Village. We would also like to thank all the partners who supported us and contributed to the success of this event.
