The University of Guyana has decided to renew the elected members of its Board of Directors and Academic Council for the next 4 years, in a ballot to be held on 24 November 2022.
C n accordance with its founding text (decree 2014-851), the institution must now add external personalities to its boards and, to this end, is launching a call for candidates:
For the Board of Directors
six (6) external figures from the socio-economic world
For the Academic Council
four (4) external figures, including one (1) legal representative of an educational establishment
On the basis of article L719-3 of the Education Code, the persons appointed include representatives of economic activities and "(...) in particular, employers' and employees' trade unions, as well as bodies from the social economy sector, scientific and cultural associations, major public services and, where appropriate, primary and secondary education".
They will be appointed on Thursday 15 December by the elected members of the councils, together with the external figures representing local authorities and research bodies. This choice will take into account the gender distribution in order to guarantee parity between men and women among all the external personalities who are members of these councils.
Applications should be sent by e-mail to elections.ca-cac2022@univ-guyane.fr no later than Tuesday 13 December at 12.00(deadline). Applications must include a letter of intent, a short CV and a copy of an identity document. The application must specify whether it is for the Board of Directors or the Academic Board.
