As part of the end-of-year festivities, the Comité des Œuvres Sociales de l'Université de Guyane is organising its Christmas Village 2023. Are you a craftsman, designer, artist, producer or shopkeeper who would like to take part? Don't wait any longer and apply.
The products offered for sale must have a direct link with the theme of Christmas and the festive season. Here are a few examples (non-exhaustive list): Gifts, decorative items, tableware, toys, jewellery, soaps, cosmetics, ready-to-wear clothing and equipment, food sales and gastronomic specialities (particularly local produce) with sales on the premises and tasting on the premises and/or to take away (...)
The Market will consist of a maximum of 20 stands, decorated and illuminated for the event by the exhibitors in the colours of Christmas (red, white, green, gold and silver).
The Christmas Market will take place over 1 day: Saturday 9 December 2023 and will open its doors to the public from 2pm until 6.30pm. The site must be occupied continuously throughout this period.
The Christmas market will take place on the Bois Chaudat campus of the Kourou IUT.
Applicants are reminded that, pursuant to Articles L. 2122-2 and L. 2122-3 of the French General Code of Public Property, occupation of the public domain can only be temporary and that authorisation is precarious and revocable.
Minimum technical requirements
- Respect the signage used to organise the village;
- Respect the parking areas reserved for exhibitors;
- Comply with all the provisions of the French Labour Code, Commercial Code and Consumer Code;
- You must be present throughout the Christmas Village;
- Site occupancy for each operator: provision of a bare site with an electricity supply
- Obligation to respect event timetables:
1/ when exhibitors are setting up:
- Friday 8 December 2023 from 12pm to 6pm,
- Saturday 9 December 2023 from 8.00 am to 12.00 pm.
2/ when open to the public :
- Saturday 9 December from 2pm to 6.30pm,
3/ during the dismantling period :
- Saturday 9 December 2023 from 7pm to 10pm with access for authorised vehicles only if there are no more visitors inside the Christmas Village;
The above dates and times may be subject to change depending on developments in the organisation of the Christmas Market and/or the programme of events planned by the Comité des Œuvres Sociales.
Once the applications have been examined, they will either be accepted or rejected by letter, which will be sent no later than 25 November 2023.
