DFPU - Team Building

On Saturday, 13 December, the University Professional Training Department (DFPU) of the University of French Guiana organised its first team-building event for continuing education trainees. The event took place on the terrace of the university restaurant in a friendly and dynamic atmosphere.

Nearly 40 participants took part in this event, divided into eight teams. Throughout the morning, they competed in a fun way on five collaborative game courses, designed around key themes such as cooperation, communication, stress management, knowledge sharing and talent development. Each activity was based on a common format combining game time, collective challenges and debriefing time, encouraging reflection and discussion among participants.

This first event created a real sense of cohesion, outside the usual training setting. The participants were particularly engaged, supportive and enthusiastic, contributing to a joyful atmosphere throughout the morning. At the end of the challenges, one team stood out by accumulating the most points and was rewarded with goodie bags, which were handed out at the closing ceremony.
Feedback from participants was very positive. They praised the quality of the organisation, the originality of the games on offer and the opportunity to share a bonding experience with other learners. This first edition marks an important milestone for the DFPU, which aims to develop innovative formats that promote engagement and cohesion among continuing education audiences.

A similar event is planned for 10 January at the Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni site, with a view to ensuring equitable distribution across the University of French Guiana's two training sites.
