Résultats du concours Regards 2020

On 4 March 2021, the results of the Regards 2020 competition were announced at an official ceremony, in hybrid mode, in the presence of the candidates and personalities from the two co-organising universities. We would like to congratulate not only the winners but also all the participants for their excellent entries.

L he Universities of Guyana and Clermont Auvergne are committed universities that promote culture, sport and campus life through a wide range of projects (exhibitions, theatre, music, reading, colloquia, conferences, public speaking, sporting activities, etc.), convinced of the power of art, culture and sport and the need to open up the world and forge a spirit of commitment. This is why they have set themselves the goal of training well-rounded human beings by offering a wide range of activities and supporting community life on their campuses.

Art, culture and the development of a spirit of commitment were at the heart of the Regards 2020 project. This project, developed at the time of the March 2020 confinement, was carried out jointly by the two establishments. Against a backdrop of health constraints, the aim was to create links and encourage artistic expression through a drawing, painting, photo and collage competition.

Four categories were proposed in 2020: "My community", "Equality", "Living, committing and surpassing oneself" and "Disability".

101 entries were received, thirty of which were selected by the jury and put to the vote by students from the Universities of Guyana and Clermont Auvergne. Fourteen prizes were awarded, including four "Student" prizes, one "Equality" prize from the regional directorate for women's rights and equality of the prefecture of French Guiana, two "Toukan Elokan" prizes, two participation and commitment prizes, four voters' prizes and a special jury prize.

On 4 March 2021, the results were announced at an official ceremony, in hybrid mode, in the presence of the candidates, the President of the CAC of the University of Guyana, the Vice-President for Students of the University of Guyana, the Vice-President for Culture and Scientific Culture of the University of Clermont Auvergne, the Director of the University Culture Service at the University of Clermont Auvergne, the Director of the Legal and Economic Sciences DFR at the University of Guyana, the Regional Director for Women's Rights and Equality at the Prefecture of the Guyana region, and the two co-organisers: Florence Faberon, Professor of Public Law at the University of Guyana, and Carole Hassoun, Senior Lecturer in Private Law and Criminal Sciences at the University of Guyana. The competition was made possible thanks to the support of partners and the involvement of the University of Guyana's Culture and CEVEC Commissions and the University of Clermont Auvergne's 'Disability and Citizenship' programme (https//www.handicap-citoyennete.uca.fr).
