Mark your calendars! The short film festival is back at the UG! To mark the occasion, the school is organising 7 screenings on 16, 17, 18, 20 and 21 March 2023 in Amphi E. Find details of the programme below.
The University of Guyana is taking part in this new edition with a selection of around thirty films, including a wide range of short films made in Guyana. There are seven screenings for students, university staff and the general public. free of charge : 16, 17, 18, 20 and 21 March at Amphi E.
Programme
16 March at 12 noon - Opening of the short film festival. Focus on the film workshop. Discover the work of students in the film workshop.
16 March at 6pm - Theme of the session: Assertiveness/Emancipation. Discover 4 short films about adolescence and self-assertion.
17 March at 12 noon - Theme of the session: Animations. Discover 7 short films made using computer-generated images.
18 March at 10 a.m. - Theme of the screening: Youth. Young and old are invited to discover a selection of 7 short films (cartoons) aimed at the very young.
20 March at 12 noon - Theme of the screening: Comedies. 4 short comedy films will be screened.
21 March at 12 noon - Session theme: Organisers' favourite. The organising committee will suggest their 4 or 5 favourite short films.
21 March at 6pm - Theme of the session: From home! Discover 4 or 5 short films by local directors.
