On 8 June 2024, as part of the Cordées de la Réussite programme, an exceptional day of bonding and discovery was organised at the Ferme François. This event brought together Justin Catayée's secondary school pupils for a day rich in exchanges, learning and various activities.
Che aim of this day of cohesion was to strengthen the links between the Cordées de la Réussite tutors and the secondary school pupils, while promoting education and encouraging academic success. The objectives were many: to develop a sense of belonging, encourage a spirit of solidarity and build trust within the group.
Participants received a warm welcome at the Ferme François and were pampered throughout the day. The schoolchildren had the opportunity to overcome their shyness, talk to the tutors and acquire the keys to planning their career path. The day also showed them that they are not alone, that there is constant support to inform them, guide them and answer their questions.
The activities were varied and designed to encourage collaboration, mutual respect and understanding between tutors and students. The workshops on offer included:
- Workshop on "Developing collaboration between tutors and students": an opportunity to redefine the role of the tutor and share friendly experiences.
- Brainstorming and preparation of posters: group reflection on the role of the tutor.
- Visit the farm on a quad or buggy: a fun and interactive way to discover the farm.
- Paintball tournaments: an activity to encourage team spirit.
- Various games: such as finding the title of the song, answering riddles and taking part in a water activity.
Each activity was designed to encourage the active participation and commitment of the schoolchildren, while strengthening the links with their tutors. The day ended with schoolchildren full of memories and a deeply enriching experience, marked by moments of sharing and discovery.
