The University of Guyana is launching theCall for Research Projects 2025 as part of the AIBSI projectin partnership with CNRS. The aim of this call for proposals is to support research and doctoral training in French Guiana.

It consists of three parts:

  • Section 1 AIBSI support for research into local site projects. It is aimed at researchers wishing to develop work in line with local scientific priorities.
  • Section 2 support for doctoral training with doctoral contracts 2025-2028. It provides funding for theses in the disciplines covered by the university and its partners.
  • Section 3 CNRS support for research into the Guiana Shield and global change. This section covers projects dealing with the environmental, social and economic dynamics of the region.

Detailed terms and conditions and application forms are attached. For the part 2The Doctoral School will provide instructions for submitting thesis projects at a later date.

Proposals should be sent to DIRVED at the following address dirved@univ-guyane.fr. Each project will be assessed according to the specific criteria set out in the call for projects document.

The deadline for submissions is midnight on 6 April (French Guiana time).

Interested research teams and doctoral students are invited to submit their proposals by the deadline. Requests for further information should be addressed to dirved@univ-guyane.fr.
