The STAPS degree at the University of Guyana is recruiting for the start of the 2025 academic year

As part of the preparations for the start of the 2025-2026 academic year, the STAPS degree (Sciences et Techniques des Activités Physiques et Sportives) at the University of Guyana is launching a recruitment campaign for teachers to teach courses in Licence 1 and Licence 2.

The main aim of this course is to train future PE teachers and sports educators in the region, with a view to local development, social inclusion and the promotion of physical activity as an educational, health and citizenship tool.

Humanities and social sciences

  • Sociology of sport,
  • Sociology of the body and sports activities,
  • Social psychology,
  • Psychology of learning

Movement and performance sciences

  • Functional anatomy,
  • Biomechanics, Motor control,
  • Anatomy of the sporting gesture

Physiology and health

  • Exercise physiology,
  • Bioenergetics, Nutrition,
  • Physical qualities,
  • Physical activity and health

Inclusion and specific groups

  • Disability and physical activity,
  • Knowledge of people with disabilities

Intervention and animation

  • Education sciences,
  • Intervention and sports leadership techniques

La model is attached in side room. Potential vacancies are indicated in blue, subject to final validation. Some courses are given several times over the two years.
