On Thursday 27 June, from 7pm, the Zéphyr auditorium, will host the final of the Miss & Mister University of French Guiana election. Organised by the association Cohésion des Étudiants, this 2ᵉ edition highlights students with varied backgrounds who are committed and representative of Guyana's cultural diversity.
The Miss & Mister UG election is back for a 2ᵉ edition. This competition highlights another facet of university life: that of students who speak out, take to the stage, and get involved in a collective project.
This year, 12 students from disciplines such as BUT Carrières Sociales, PASS, law, LLCER, STAPS, LEMMA and IT are taking part in the adventure. They have all been selected for their personality, their motivation and their desire to represent the values of the University of Guyana.
The competition is divided into three phases:
- The selection, during which the candidates appeared before a panel of judges and answered oral questions; ;
- Training, with workshops on dance, posture, sport and group cohesion; ;
- The final will take place on 27 June, on stage, in front of a live audience.
That evening, the finalists will parade, speak in public and present a traditional tableau celebrating local and Caribbean cultures. An artistic performance, often danced, will also give everyone a chance to show off their originality.
The evening promises to be fast-paced, festive and full of emotion, just like the first edition. A not-to-be-missed highlight of student life. See you on Thursday 27 June at 7pm on the terrace of the Resto U on the Troubiran campus at the Zéphyr, Sylviane Cédia's theatre, to encourage the candidates and discover their talents.
