Objectives

Acquire knowledge and tools for analysing and modelling tropical forests and respond to conservation and management issues in these complex systems.

Training required :
The EFT course is aimed at students with a Master 1 in ecology or biology, students in the second year of an engineering school specialising in life sciences and also students with a Master 1 in biostatistics.

  • UE 1 - ORIGIN AND MAINTENANCE OF BIODIVERSITY - 30 h (4 ECTS)
  • UE 2 - MODELLING OF ECOLOGICAL SYSTEMS - 34 h (4 ECTS)
  • UE 3 - EVOLUTIONARY BOTANY AND FUNCTIONAL ECOLOGY - 48 h (6 ECTS)
  • UE 4 - TROPICAL FOREST CONSERVATION MANAGEMENT - 48 h (4 ECTS)
  • TU 5 - PROFESSIONALISATION - 15 h (2ECTS)
  • UE6 - PROJECT (10 ECTS)

Semester 6

  • UE - WORK PLACEMENT (30 ECTS)

Compulsory 6-month placement from January to June.
The aim of the work placement is to place the student in a professional situation. Supervised by an internship supervisor, they are tasked with developing a scientific problem within a limited timeframe, and presenting their work in academic form (dissertation in front of a jury).
