Objectives

The aim of the DAEU A course is to consolidate, reconcile and update knowledge after a break with studies. The DAEU A diploma can be used to gain access to a bachelor's degree, continue university studies or prepare for competitive entrance exams to the civil service.

Target skills

  • Identify and present, where appropriate, the subject of a request
  • Update the information made available to the structure by carrying out documentary research, on the Internet or in pre-identified places
  • Listing and indexing documents for filing
  • Apply the regulations for archiving files and documents relating to the structure's activities
  • Identify the information needed to fill in administrative forms or forms specific to the structure
  • Fill in the information required to compile and follow up administrative files in accordance with current regulations.
  • Analyse your actions and propose corrective solutions
  • Use the reference digital tools and IT security rules to acquire, process and produce information and to collaborate internally and externally
  • Document a subject by identifying, selecting and analysing various resources with a critical mind
  • Analyse and summarise data with a view to their use
  • Respond to a request by developing a critical argument
  • Informing, advising and communicating, using the different registers of expression of the French language with ease and ensuring that the person you are speaking to understands.
  • Provide appropriate advice on a subject relating to the structure's activities

Admission

CONDITIONS OF ACCESS TO THE DAEU :

Have interrupted their initial studies for at least two years

And

Meet one of the following conditions:

Be at least 20 years old on 1 October of the year of the exam and provide proof of two years' paid employment or an activity giving rise to two years' social security contributions (periods of unemployment with registration with France Travail, bringing up a child, national service, participation in a vocational training scheme, practising a high-level sporting activity, etc.).

Be aged 24 or over on 1 October of the year of the exam

For foreign candidates, a residence permit valid on 31 October of the year of the examination is required.

Programme

The DAEU-A is made up of 2 teaching units and a total of 240 hours.

UE1 Compulsory subjects: (COEF : 2; 120 hours TD)

  • French
  • Modern language (choice of 1) English - Portuguese - Spanish

UE2 Two optional subjects: (COEF : 2; 120 hours TD)

  • Contemporary history; Geography; Law; General knowledge; Mathematics

Assessment procedures :

  • Continuous control
  • Mock exam
  • Final examination

Organisation :

  • Asynchronous course 16.00-18.00
  • Evening classes (face-to-face or synchronous) from 6.00 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.
  • Face-to-face classes on Saturdays from 8.00am to 1.00pm
