Objectives
This degree is given over two academic years. Its aim is to enable people considering a career in the field of education or training to acquire knowledge in the human and social sciences in order to identify and understand educational, institutional and, more broadly, professional practices in these areas. It is therefore aimed at those with professional experience in education, training or leadership, enabling them to consolidate their acquired knowledge, as well as at anyone wishing to reinitiate a university course in the humanities and social sciences.
The DUSED is an appropriate training tool and a key to accessing careers and higher education in the humanities and education sciences, given the planned orientation of an increasingly young apprenticeship population, the need to support and accommodate people with disabilities (Law of 11 February 2005), and the possibilities of accessing the right to training and higher education through the VAE. This course is regularly used by education and training professionals, as it provides them with an essential theoretical complement to their undergraduate studies. Most graduates go on to study for a bachelor's degree, followed by a master's degree in education sciences.
