Objectives

The education, training and social action professions and the demand for research in these fields have grown considerably over the last ten years. The issues specific to French Guiana require it to have a certain number of specialists, managers and operators in these fields.

The aim of this course is to train staff capable of managing, developing and implementing projects based on public and social policies relating to social action, support and the social and professional integration of young people in difficulty within the framework of various institutional systems: social action, urban policies, employment and skills policy, information and guidance policies.

Target skills

The skills sought are those relating to the understanding of public and social policies, supervision, guidance and the implementation of actions to support people in difficulty, mastery of systems relating to integration engineering, diagnosis and assistance in setting up training projects or integration and local development programmes.

1era year MASTER :
Recruitment level : BAC+3
Accessible in Continuing education (evening classes)

Admission requirements On the basis of an application in a number of cases:

  • Students with a L3 or equivalent qualification and knowledge in the field of education and training
  • Employees or jobseekers, returning to education and/or undergoing professional transition in the region, with 3 years' higher education or an equivalent qualification.
  • Validation by the VAPP commission (Validation of Professional and Personal Experience)

2era year MASTER :
Recruitment level : BAC+4
Accessible in Continuing education (evening classes)

Admission requirements On the basis of an application in a number of cases:

  • Students with an M1 or equivalent qualification and knowledge in the field of education and training
  • Employees or jobseekers, back to school and/or in career transition in the region with 4 years' higher education or an equivalent qualification.
  • Validation by the VAPP commission (Validation of Professional and Personal Experience)

The application will be submitted to the Teaching Committee of the University Professional Training Department.

Programme

1era year MASTER :

This first year is made up of 8 teaching units and a total of 300 hours.

  • UEO1: Epistemology of Human and Social Sciences (SHS): (Coef: 2; 20 hours CM; 16 hours TD)
  • UEO2 : Theoretical, legal and technical approach to social issues, support and integration: (Coef: 2; 20 hours CM; 12 hours TD)
  • UEO3: Research Methodology: (Coef: 2; 284 hours CM; 20 hours TD)
  • UEO4: Educational Engineering: (Coef: 3; 28 hours CM; 10 hours TD)
  • UEP1A : Problems of integration and professional practices: (Coef: 4; 22 hours CM)
  • UEP1B : History of integration and local development: (Coef: 4; 12 hours CM; 8 hours TD)
  • UEP 2A : Problems of integration and professional practices : (Coef : 8 ; 36 hours CM )
  • UEC: Complementary teaching: (Coef: 5; 48 hours TD; 24 hours TP)

2era year MASTER :

This second year of the Master's programme comprises 5 teaching units and a total of 168 hours.

  • UEO 1: General knowledge: (Coef: 4; 24 hours CM; 8 hours TD)
  • UEO 2 : Audience knowledge and programme creation : (Coef : 4 ; 20 hours CM ; 20 hours TD)
  • UEP 1: Setting up partnership networks and Evaluation: (Coef: 6; 22 hours CM; 26 hours TD)
  • UEC: Complementary teaching: (Coef: 3; 48 hours TD)
  • UEP 1 : Internship and Dissertation

Assessment procedures :

  • Continuous assessment
  • Minimum 2-month work placement (240 hours)
  • Research dissertation
