This L3 (level 6) course is aimed at people who already have a level equivalent to Bac +2, whether they are students continuing their studies, employees or people wishing to improve their professional practice.
Its aim is to provide professional skills in social intervention in the field and in the local context. This degree responds to the chronic shortage of social workers and the social and legal demand for support for people considered to have specific needs.
During the course of study, and in application of the ministerial decrees of 30 July 2018 and 3 April 2020, the award of the 1st cycle diploma (licence, licence professionnelle and DUT) is now subject to passing a certification in English. The new digital skills certification (Pix) is also compulsory. It is based on a European framework, a reference for higher education and the socio-professional world in terms of digital skills.
The vocational bachelor's degree offers two types of training: practical training (work placements, tutorials) and theoretical training (lectures, research dissertation). It is adapted to the constraints of people on the job and to the needs of public and private institutions and organisations.
