Objectives

The University Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering and Sustainable Construction (BUT GCCD) covers all sectors of activity related to building and public works. Its aim is to train senior technicians and middle managers with strong technological skills, who are also familiar with the non-technological aspects of the profession, such as project management. They are destined to work in either project management (works planning), project management (design offices) or works (construction companies). At the end of the course, graduates will have acquired a body of operational knowledge for all the problems involved in a works programme, from the design of works to their completion on site. They will also have the knowledge and skills needed to meet the challenges of sustainable construction.

Target skills

The courses that structure the training and the expectations for obtaining the University Bachelor of Technology are formulated in terms of skills. The skills are common to the 2 pathways offered, although the levels of development of each skill differ according to the pathway chosen.

  • Developing technical solutions for all or part of a building project
  • Develop technical solutions for all or part of a public works project
  • Sizing technical structures and equipment in the building and civil engineering sector
  • Organising a building site
  • Technical management of a project throughout its lifetime
