Objectives

The professional aim of this university degree is to provide training in the scientific methods and fundamental languages needed to administer, manage and run sports and leisure facilities.

Target skills

The DUSM programme offered as part of continuing education prepares students directly for professional life. Its aim is to train students in the scientific methods and fundamental languages required for the administration, management and running of sports and leisure facilities.

Admission

Recruitment level : BAC+1
Accessible in Continuing education (evening classes)

Admission requirements On the basis of an application in a number of cases:

  • Holder of a Bac+1 or equivalent
  • Holder of a Bac L; ES; S; STT or equivalent (DAEU) and proof of experience in the field of sport
  • Validation of Personal and Professional Experience (VAPP85)

Programme

The DU in Sport and Management is made up of 8 teaching units.ignements, with an hourly volume of 294 hours.

  • UE 1 Administration and general running of the club (Coef: 2; 8 hours CM; 16 hours TD)
  • UE 2 Coaching sciences (Coef: 2 ; 20 hours CM ; 40 hours TD)
  • UE 3 - Managing the human and financial resources of a sports organisation (Coef: 1; 8 hours CM; 22 hours TD)
  • UE 4 Teaching and supervision (Coef : 2 ; 8 hours CM ; 22 hours TD)
  • UE5 - Knowledge of practices (Coef : 2 ; 10 hours CM ; 20 hours TD)
  • UE 6 Professional experience (Coef : 1 ; 40 hours TD)
  • UE 7 Mastery of tools and methods (Coef: 2; 60 hours TD)
  • UE 8 Events (Coef :2 ; 10 hours CM : 10 hours TD)

Assessment procedures :

  • Continuous Controls
  • Tutoring course

Organisation :

  • Asynchronous course 16.00-18.00
  • Evening classes (face-to-face or synchronous) from 6.00 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.
  • Face-to-face classes on Saturdays from 8.00am to 1.00pm

Job opportunities

The project to create a university diploma in sports professions, supported by the Institut Universitaire de Formation Continue (University Institute for Continuing Education), will enable sports managers to be trained with the tools they need to administer and manage a sports facility.
