Objectives

The DUAP is a 2-year higher education diploma that enables students to acquire basic knowledge (legal, economic and methodological), to sit competitive examinations and to gain a better understanding of the workings and organisation of public institutions.

Target skills

  • Preparing and implementing the finances of a local authority, taking account of its specific characteristics
  • Managing human resources: the careers of civil servants, from recruitment through to the end of their careers, and drawing up pay slips.
  • Be able to respond to various requests from users and external partners in the context of their mission or be able to direct them to dedicated services

Admission

Recruitment level : BAC + 1
Accessible in Continuing education (evening classes)
Admission requirements On the basis of a case study in a number of cases:

  • Holder of a BAC +1 or equivalent
  • Validation by the VAPP commission for candidates with a BAC and more than 3 years' professional experience in the administrative sector

Programme

This DU in Public Administration comprises 4 teaching units and a total of 275 hours.

  • UE1 - Fundamental legal teaching: (Coef: 9; CM: 85)
  • EU 2 - Methodology: (Coef: 9; CM: 75)
  • TU 3 - Complementary teaching : (Coef : 12 ; CM :115 )
  • EU 4 - Optional work placement or voluntary professional action

 

Assessment procedures :

  • Continuous assessment (CC)
  • Final exam (CT)

 

Organisational arrangements :

  • Asynchronous course 16.00-18.00
  • Evening classes (face-to-face or synchronous) from 6.00 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.
  • Face-to-face classes on Saturdays from 8.00am to 1.00pm
