Objectives
Strengthen the preparation of candidates for the CPE recruitment exam, particularly those enrolled in a Licence (L3) or holding a bac+3, by providing them with specific, structured support for the written and oral exams; ;
Offer a complementary and professionalising training course, based on the requirements of the competitive examination for the recruitment of CPEs at the end of L3, session 2026.
Responding to the specific needs of French Guyana, the decline in the number of people admitted to the CPE recruitment exam, and the need for high-quality support for candidates with 3 years of higher education.

The DU CPE aims to train candidates to meet the requirements of the competitive examination for Principal Education Advisers. It enables students to :
- Master the expectations of written tests (summary, essay) and oral tests; ;
- Develop a professional culture centred on the educational missions, school life and responsibilities of the CPE ;
- Understand the complexity of current education issues: inclusion, school climate, equality between girls and boys, ESD, etc; ;
- Take an informed and responsible position in the world of education, based on demanding, contextualised and professional training.

Throughout the DU, students develop essential transferable skills:
- Ability to synthesise complex documentation and put forward arguments in writing (notes, essays); ;
- A reflective and ethical stance on educational practices ;
- Clear, structured oral communication adapted to a variety of contexts (interviews, debates, presentations); ;
- Independent and collaborative work using digital tools (Moodle platform, forum); ;
- Ability to take into account republican values, collective dynamics and specific local contexts.

The content is organised around several key areas of training for the CPE profession:
- Writing methodology: mastering summary notes, essays and written expression; ;
- Role and duties of the CPE: legal, educational and institutional knowledge of school life and how schools operate ;
- Education and society: reflection on the major issues facing education today, in particular equality, inclusion and the ecological transition; ;
- Professional ethics and speaking: professional oral expression, interview posture, ability to present and defend educational positions ;
- Knowledge of the education system: links between education policies, realities on the ground and educational responsibility.

- Students enrolled in L3 ;
- Graduates at bac+3 level wishing to prepare for the CPE recruitment competition; ;
- Returning students with a bac+3 ;
- Contract staff or education assistants preparing for the competition as independent candidates ;
- Anyone with the administrative prerequisites to apply for the CPE recruitment competition at the end of L3, session 2026.

- Methodology of the summary report (30h) ;
- Composition methodology, Dissertation and written expression (30h) ;
- Missions, duties and responsibilities of the CPE. Legislation and operation of an EPLE (28 hrs) ;
- The major current issues in school life, inclusion, ESD, equality between girls and boys, etc. (24h) ;
- Philosophical reflections on education: principles, values and the place of schools in modern societies (6 hrs) ;
- Analysis of the context and sociological approaches to school phenomena and social inequalities (10h) ;
- Knowledge and ethics of the profession - Oral expression on educational themes: interviews, presentations, debates (42 hrs).
