Q hat is it?
Do you have an idea for a business? Do you feel capable of entrepreneurship? The mission of the PEPITE (Pôle Etudiants Pour l'Innovation, leTransfert et l'Entrepreneuriat - Students for Innovation, Transfer and Entrepreneurship) is to provide you with support and training to help you turn your business idea or project into a reality. Joining this programme at the start of the academic year enables you to acquire student-entrepreneur status and, for some students, to obtain a Student-Entrepreneur Diploma (D2E) at the end of the course.
Who is it for?
- Student-entrepreneur status is aimed primarily at young people in under 28The age limit for student social security status.
- Le baccalauréat or equivalent level is the only diploma requirement to register for student-entrepreneur status.
- In exceptional circumstances, people over the age of 28 may join the scheme, subject to approval by the Commitment Committee.
Why is this?
- Support from 2 tutors to help me set up my company: an educational tutor and a tutor from the socio-economic world.
- Networking with the socio-economic players in French Guiana.
- Access to coworking spaces and training in entrepreneurship and management, geared towards preparing and launching an entrepreneurial project:
- Workshops (setting up an e-commerce site, how to finance a franchise project, the takeover market in French Guiana)
- Conference (The keys to developing a business in French Guiana)
- Support (mentoring of company directors)
- The opportunity to enrol for the Student Entrepreneur Diploma (D2E) recognised by the French Ministry of Education and Higher Education

How do I sign up?
- I fill in the application form at the following address: http://www.etudiant.gouv.fr/pid37862/demander-le-statut-d-etudiant-entrepreneur.html
- Invited by the BAIP of the DOSIP (Direction de l'Orientation des Stages et de l'Insertion Professionnelle), I present my project to the PEPITE Guyane commitment committee.
- If my project is accepted, the BAIP (Bureau d'aide à l'Insertion Professionnelle) will tell me how to register for D2E and benefit from student-entrepreneur status.
