Programme

The LLCER English degree is divided into 6 semesters and is validated by the award of 180 ECTS. L1 and L2 are core courses, with some electives.
Pre-professionalization courses are introduced in S1 and S3 and continued in S4. 30% courses are shared with the LEA English/Portuguese bachelor's degree, which may under certain conditions allow a student up to the end of S3 to reorientate. From Semester 5 onwards, each pathway is clearly defined.

The Licence LLCER Anglais offers a special pathway, called the "Licence Flexible LLCER Anglais", enabling certain students, depending on their profile at the end of secondary school, to benefit from support and reinforcement courses in the first two years. In this configuration, the Licence can be obtained at a more appropriate pace, in four years.
The total timetable for this Licence LLCER Anglais is 1,500 hours.

Semester 1 | 258h (30 ECTS)
A large part of this module is common to the LEA English/Portuguese degree (English grammar, French grammar, OIM, Voltaire project). The 'Student Professional Project' module is designed to help students start thinking about their professional project in semester 1.

Semester 2 | 250h (30 ECTS)
Core syllabus for the fundamental courses, including 2 UE shared with the Licence LEA English/Portuguese. The aim of the "Discovery" modules is to enable students to consolidate their choice of pre-professionalisation UE that they will select in Semester 3.

Semester 3 | 248h (30 ECTS)
Common core of fundamentals and introduction of two pre-professionalization courses: 1) Translation Studies, 2) English Studies. Further development of a personal career plan. From this semester onwards, students can study abroad at a European partner university as part of the ERASMUS+ programme.

Semester 4 | 258h (30 ECTS)
Common core of fundamentals and continuation of pre-professional modules.

Semester 5 | 300h (30 ECTS)A common core of fundamentals and the introduction of two pathways: A) "Translation Professions", B) "English Studies - Teaching Professions". Students must choose one of the two pathways according to their career plans.

Semester 6 | 186h (30 ECTS)
Common core of fundamentals. Continuation of the two courses.
A ten-week work placement in an organisation appropriate to each pathway: a school environment (with the Pre-professionalisation or Work-Study scheme, following admission by a pedagogical committee and approval by the Rectorat de Guyane) for the "English Studies - Teaching" pathway, and an international organisation for the "Translation Professions" pathway. An internship report is written and presented to a jury.
