Objectives
- Acquire the essential knowledge and understand the fundamental principles and concepts of mathematics;
- Acquire skills in French ;
- Acquire the subject-specific, didactic and professional skills needed to become a school teacher;
- Continuation of studies under good conditions in a MASTER in Teaching, Education and Training (MEEF) at the INSPE in French Guiana, with a view to preparing for the competitive examination for the recruitment of school teachers (CRPE);
Target skills
The Mathematics degree, with a PPPE (Preparatory Course for School Teachers) specialisation, also known as the 3PE, is offered on a sandwich basis between the Lycée Bertène Juminer and the Ecole Giffard (INSPE Antenna, University of Guyana). Its aim is to prepare students to become schoolteachers by continuing their studies on a Master MEEF (Métiers de l'Enseignement, de l'Éducation et de la Formation) 1.er degree.
Students embarking on this course will study for 5 years before taking the CRPE (Concours de Recrutement de Professeur des Écoles).

- Take an interest in all the subject areas taught in primary school and how they are passed on to pupils;
Admission
Recruitment level : Baccalauréat or diploma deemed equivalent, or DAEU (Diploma of Access to University Studies)
Accessible in : initial training.
Training required :
Terminale level with a baccalaureate specialising in scientific subjects, in particular having studied mathematics up to terminale level or a level deemed equivalent (holder of an equivalent foreign diploma).
Admission requirements :
The 3PE pathway in the Maths Licence is aimed at students with a solid grounding in Mathematics, who are highly motivated and have a career plan to become a school teacher. The course includes a large number of hours of lectures. A good capacity for work is expected.
